Battle of the Burgers

Position: Advertising Graphic Designer, K-VA-T Food Stores (Food City)
In honor of college football’s epic, Pilot Flying J Battle at Bristol, Food City hosted the Battle of the Burgers!
Battle of the burgers leveraged customer’s team and/or state loyalty to drive sales in specialty items within Bakery/Deli and meat Departments with original Tennessee and Virginia burgers. Facilitated an increase of awareness to in-store butchers, gourmet burgers and overall meat department and deli departments and category.
Assets were created across all media - including Facebook & Twitter, Landing page on the FoodCity.com website, Pump Topper art at Food City Gas 'n Go locations, Meat and Deli Department Easels, Poster Size (Ironman) Signs throughout the stores, Meat Picks in the Meat department, as well as radio spots, and 3/4 page art in the Weekly Ad Circular.
National Grocers Association Creative Choice Award Winner for Integrated Marketing Campaign. TN and VA burgers brought $41k in gross profit and were the #1 and #3 selling gourmet burgers during the promotion period. Customer participation was encouraged with social media sweepstakes requiring customers to vote for their favorite.
Social Media Assets - Used for Facebook Posts, Facebook Paid Promo Ads and Twitter Posts.
Ironman Poster Signs - Used throughout store to drive sales in Deli and Meat Departments and highlight Executive Chef and Meat Expert
Weekly Ad Circular Art - Used multiple weeks throughout July and August promoting burgers, chefs and meal options. Design and Copy.
Meat Picks - Used in all stores in the meat department.
Easel Signs - Used in the Meat and Deli Departments to drive sales and highlight Executive Chef and Meat Expert
Pump Topper Signs - Used at Food City Gas 'N Go locations to drive customers into store.
